Working with Cancer
When CEO of Publicis, Artur Sadoun, had cancer he discovered that 48% of employees fear admitting they have cancer in case they lose their job. So Publicis created the Working with Cancer Pledge for businesses to help end the stigma and uncertainty for those with a cancer diagnosis. The campaign kicked off with a Superbowl film in 2023.
I worked on brief for the next round of work
The challenge was to help more businesses – especially small ones – to help employ those with cancer.
This work is the PG One submission to the Publicis team.
My AD (Sarah Lim) and I had the idea to lobby governments across the world to create tax breaks for small companies who employ those with cancer. This felt a real and tangible way to help those Working with Cancer and also the businesses that support them. We were in the team that put the submission together working under ECD Charlie Martin and CD Olly Farrington.
